Create an invoice that reflects the client, the work being billed, and the payment terms you want to use. Start a one-time invoice manually or ask Moxie Assistant to prepare the line items. Draft invoices save as you work and remain editable until they are sent or marked as sent.
Create the draft
Open Money → Invoices and select New invoice.
Choose One-time invoice for a manual draft or Build with Moxie Assistant for a guided first draft.
Choose the client. Moxie creates the draft with that client's billing details and your default invoice template.
Add an optional invoice description or purchase-order number.
Build the invoice with Assistant
Choose the client before describing the invoice so Assistant can work in the correct billing context. Explain the services, quantities, rates, discounts, or other details you want included, then select Add to invoice. Review every generated line item, tax choice, total, due term, and payment setting in the normal invoice editor.
Assistant creates a draft only. It does not send the invoice or make the amount final.
Add what you are billing
You can combine several kinds of line items on one invoice:
Select Add line item for an invoice-specific item.
Select From library to use a reusable product or service.
Select Pull billable work to include eligible project work, time entries, retainers, deposits, or expenses.
Review quantity, rate, tax treatment, and visibility for every line. Use the discount and tax controls below the list to adjust the invoice total.
The editor keeps the invoice document, Assistant entry point, and settings together so you can review the financial result while you make changes.
Set invoice details and payment terms
Payment due controls the due date or relative due term.
Template controls the client-facing layout copied into this invoice.
Monthly late fee defines the late-fee terms shown to the client.
Accept online payments allows eligible connected payment providers.
Payment reminders enables Moxie's reminder behavior for this invoice.
The invoice number becomes final when the invoice is sent or marked as sent. Template changes made later in Settings do not rewrite an invoice that already has its own saved copy.
Preview before sending
Select Preview to inspect the client-facing document without beginning the delivery flow. Confirm the billing address, line items, total, due date, payment instructions, and branding before you send it.
