Payments is the cash-received ledger for both invoice payments and other income. Use it to see when money arrived, how it was paid, which client or project it belongs to, and whether it came from an invoice.
Choose the correct entry type
Apply to invoice records payment against an existing invoice and reduces its amount due.
Record other income records money received outside an invoice.
Recurring income opens the schedule workflow for income that repeats.
Record other income
Select Add payment → Record other income.
Enter the amount, currency, payment method, date received, and a useful description.
Add a transaction reference when one is available.
Connect the income to a client and project when that relationship matters.
Save the record, then add supporting attachments if needed.
Linking other income to its business context makes client reporting and cash analysis more useful.
Review and organize received money
Use search, the date selector, grouping, and filters to narrow the list. Sort a column to order records by date, amount, client, source, description, method, or status.
The source column separates invoice-backed payments from other income and preserves the external transaction reference.
Edit an income record
Select an other-income row to open its editor without leaving the Payments page. Update the financial context, manage attachments, or delete an incorrect non-invoice income record using the confirmation flow.
