Save and reuse views

Save filters and layouts for repeatable work in Projects, Tasks, Pipeline, and Tickets.

Written by Geoff Mina

Saved views turn a frequently used set of filters and layout choices into a one-click workspace. Use them when you repeatedly return to the same slice of Projects, Tasks, Tickets, or Sales Pipeline.

Save a view

  1. Open Projects, Tasks, Pipeline, or Tickets.

  2. Choose the filters, grouping, layout, visible fields, and sorting that support your workflow.

  3. Open the saved-view selector at the beginning of the toolbar.

  4. Select Save current view, give the view a recognizable name, and optionally make it your default.

Use a name that describes the work represented by the view, such as My overdue tasks, Closing this month, or Unassigned tickets.

Understand what a view remembers

  • Projects remembers Workday, Portfolio, or List and the project filters you selected. A saved Project List also remembers lifecycle status, card or table layout, grouping, visible fields, and sorting; Workday also remembers its task filters.

  • Tasks remembers project scope, filters, table or board layout, grouping, visible fields, and table sorting.

  • Pipeline remembers filters, board or table layout, grouping, visible fields, and table sorting.

  • Tickets remembers queue, client, request type, workflow status, and assignee filters plus grouping and table sorting.

Search text is intentionally temporary and is never included in a saved view. This keeps a reusable operational view from reopening with an old one-off search.

Switch, update, and reset views

Select any saved view from the selector to apply it. If you change its filters or layout, a small dot appears beside the view name. Open the selector to update the saved view or reset the workspace to its saved state. You can also rename or delete views you no longer need.

Choose a default without losing your place

Saved views are personal to you within the current Moxie workspace. Your default is used when you begin a fresh app session. During the current session, Moxie remembers the last view you used on each screen, so navigating away and returning does not unexpectedly replace your working view with the default.

Pro Tip: bookmark a saved view

When you select a saved view in Projects, Tasks, Tickets, or Sales Pipeline, Moxie adds that view to the page URL. This makes the exact view bookmarkable:

  1. Select the saved view you want to return to.

  2. Confirm that the page URL changes.

  3. Bookmark the page using your browser.

  4. Open the bookmark later to land on the same Moxie screen with that saved view already selected.

The bookmark is intended for your own Moxie sign-in because saved views are personal to the user who created them. The bookmark selects the view; it does not create a separate copy, so future updates you save to that view are reflected the next time you use the bookmark.
