Use this complete reference to understand every tool currently available through the Moxie MCP Server and learn how to ask a connected AI assistant for the result you want.
How to ask Moxie for help
You do not need to memorize or type a tool name. Ask in normal language and give the assistant the names, dates, client, project, or other context that identifies the right record. The tool names below are included so you can understand exactly what the connector can do and troubleshoot a client that asks you to approve a particular action.
Be specific about scope: say which client, project, date range, status, or person you mean.
Separate review from action: add “do not change anything” when you only want analysis, or ask the assistant to show its planned changes before saving.
Resolve records safely: Moxie uses
searchto resolve names to records. If two records match, ask the assistant to show both instead of guessing.Use workflow guidance: for unfamiliar multi-step work, ask the assistant to load the matching Moxie playbook first.
Expect confirmation: sending messages, notifying people, starting automations, moving money-related records through their lifecycle, and permanent deletion deserve an explicit review before the action.
Page through long lists: list tools may return results in pages. Ask the assistant to continue until it has checked every relevant page before concluding that something is missing.
Workspace owners can review MCP connections and tool activity from Moxie settings.

When a tool is unavailable
Ask the assistant to run a connection check and confirm the selected workspace, user, role, and scopes.
Confirm that MCP is enabled under Settings → Apps & integrations → MCP.
Review the connected user's Moxie role and restricted-feature access. MCP never grants broader access than the user already has in Moxie.
Refresh or rescan the Moxie connector in the AI client when a newly released tool is missing.
For a multi-step workflow, ask the assistant to list and open the relevant Moxie playbook before trying again.
