Create a complete client record once so Moxie can reuse accurate business, billing, and relationship information throughout your work.
Create a client
Open a new client in Moxie, or use the global + menu and choose Client.
Enter the client name and type.
Add the phone, website, address, currency, and other details you know.
Review the invoicing and payment settings.
Save the client.
Add information Moxie can reuse in communication, documents, billing, and connected work.
Edit reusable client information
Open the client and select Edit. The form separates general details, address and billing information, and invoicing settings so you can update the relationship without searching through multiple tabs.
The client editor keeps reusable relationship and billing details together.
Archive rather than delete
Use the client options menu to archive a relationship you no longer work with. Archiving removes it from the default Active view while preserving its history and related records. Use the Archived view on the client list to find and reactivate it later.
Merge duplicate clients
Account owners can combine a duplicate client with the client record they want to keep:
Open the duplicate client and choose Merge into another client… from its options menu.
Select the active client that should survive.
Review the contacts, projects, invoices, time, expenses, files, deposit activity, and other related records that will move.
Resolve any warning about connected Stripe, QuickBooks, or Xero records. Existing records keep their original currencies; the surviving client supplies defaults for future work.
Type the duplicate client's name and select Merge clients.
The surviving client keeps its client details and billing defaults. The duplicate is retired, old links redirect to the surviving client, restricted-user access is carried forward, and Moxie records a merge event with an itemized history. A merge cannot be undone, so use the preview to confirm both records before continuing.
What happens next
New work created from the client workspace starts with the client already selected. Updates to live client information are available to features that reference the client record, while documents that contain copied information may need to be refreshed or edited separately.
