Find and understand your invoices

Use invoice analytics, date ranges, search, filters, grouping, and sorting to understand billing health.

Written by Geoff Mina

Use the Invoices page to understand what you billed, what remains outstanding, and which invoices need attention. The analytics and table always reflect the selected date range and filters.

Choose the reporting period

Use the date selector to choose a useful window such as this year, a recent period, or a custom range. The invoice count, KPI cards, trend chart, table, and footer totals update together.

Read the at-a-glance section

  • Total invoiced measures issued invoice value in the selected period.

  • Outstanding shows the balance that is still open.

  • Overdue isolates late balances.

  • Average days to pay summarizes the time from sending to payment when enough paid history exists.

The chart compares invoice value with outstanding balance over time. When invoiced value contains multiple clients, hover the chart to understand the client contribution within a period.

The invoice list with date controls, KPI cards, a trend chart, and sortable columns

Use the analytics for the trend, then use the table for the invoice-level explanation.

Find the right invoices

  • Search by invoice number, client, or description.

  • Open Filter to narrow by relevant invoice attributes and status.

  • Use Group by to organize invoices by client, status, or due date.

  • Select a column heading to sort. When a table is grouped, sorting happens within each group unless you sort by the grouping field, in which case the groups themselves are ordered.

Open the record without losing context

Select an invoice row to open its detail or draft editor. Moxie carries the list as the return destination, so the invoice back button returns to the same module context.

Review a client's deposit activity

Open Invoices from a client's Related records area. When the client has money available in their deposit account, the Deposit available card appears above the invoice list. Select it to review:

  • The amount collected, applied, and currently available.

  • Each deposit collection and application in newest-first order.

  • The invoice associated with every transaction.

Deposit money is collected through Deposit products or line items on a standard invoice. Moxie does not require a separate deposit-invoice workflow.
