Manage vendors

Maintain vendor contact and tax details, attachments, spending totals, and related expenses.

Written by Geoff Mina

Vendor records organize the businesses you pay, their contact and tax information, attachments, and every expense connected to them.

Create a vendor

  1. Select New vendor.

  2. Add the business name and optional website and tax ID.

  3. Enable 1099 tracking when the vendor should be included in that workflow.

  4. Add the primary contact and business address.

  5. Capture internal notes that help your team work with the vendor.

  6. Select Create vendor.

Use the vendor workspace

The vendor detail page combines key spending totals with contact information, tax context, internal notes, attachments, and the related expense list.

The vendor workspace provides the same first-class record experience used for clients and projects instead of hiding vendor management inside an expense form.

Add an expense in vendor context

Select Add expense from the vendor page to open a new expense with the vendor already selected. After saving, the vendor totals and related expense table refresh.

Find vendors from the list

Search by vendor, contact, email, or location. The overview highlights the number of vendor records, 1099 tracking, and outstanding balances. Select a row to open the complete vendor workspace.
