Build your products and services library

Create reusable fixed, hourly, and deposit items and organize them with table-level folders.

Written by Geoff Mina

Build a products and services library for the items you sell repeatedly. Library items reduce retyping on invoices and can keep reusable Agreement Packages connected to your latest content and pricing.

Find the library under Settings → Templates → Products & services, between Agreement packages and Projects.

Create a reusable item

  1. Select New item.

  2. Enter a customer-friendly name and description.

  3. Set the default rate and billing type: fixed price, hourly, deposit, or recurring. For recurring services, choose the billing interval.

  4. Choose whether the item uses the invoice's tax settings.

  5. Add explicit rates for other currencies when needed.

  6. Save the item.

Organize the library from the table

Use the Billing type filter to show fixed, hourly, deposit, or recurring items.

Folders are managed directly from the list rather than inside the item editor. Use the folder icon at the end of a row (filled when assigned, outlined when unassigned), then collapse or expand folders as the library grows. Items without a folder appear under No folder.

The table shows rate, billing type, tax behavior, currency coverage, and folder organization at a glance.

Use an item on an invoice

In an invoice, payment plan, or recurring invoice, select From library and choose the item. Moxie copies its name, description, pricing, billing type, tax behavior, and appropriate currency rate into the document.

Recurring library items are excluded from invoice, payment-plan, recurring-invoice, task, and legacy agreement pickers. Use them in Agreement Packages; a recurring invoice keeps its own schedule.

Later library edits do not silently rewrite line items already copied into an existing document. This preserves the commercial terms that were used when that document was created.

Link an item to an Agreement Package

Choose a Product or service in a package offering or add-on. Keep Use linked content and Use linked pricing on to inherit future library changes. Turn either switch off to preserve the current values and customize that group. Use Detach completely to keep all values without a live link.

Linked reusable packages use current library values for future agreements, including published packages. Existing concrete agreements, even drafts, keep their captured values. Product editors show affected packages when your role has agreement access. A billing-type change needs review in those packages; deleting an item requires replacing or detaching its links before creating new agreements.
