Connect Stripe or PayPal for client payments

Connect payment providers and choose the online payment methods offered on eligible invoices.

Written by Geoff Mina

Connect Stripe or PayPal so clients can pay eligible invoices online. Payment-provider configuration lives in Settings, while invoices remain the place where you create charges and follow payment status.

Connect Stripe

Use Sign up with Stripe to create or complete a Moxie-connected Stripe account. If you already have a compatible Stripe account, choose Connect existing account. Complete Stripe's onboarding requirements before payments can be enabled.

Payment methods remain unavailable until Stripe confirms that the connected account can accept charges.

Choose Stripe payment methods

  • Card payments can show cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay on eligible invoices.

  • ACH bank payments can be offered for eligible USD invoices and US bank accounts.

  • Connected workspaces can review available, pending, and on-the-way balances plus recent Stripe activity.

Connect PayPal

Switch to PayPal and choose Connect PayPal. Complete the supported partner onboarding flow with a PayPal Business account. If onboarding is interrupted, return to Moxie and choose Continue onboarding.

Disconnect carefully

Disconnecting a provider stops it from being offered for new invoice payments. PayPal partner permissions are managed in PayPal account settings. Before disconnecting either provider, review outstanding invoices and the payment instructions clients already received.

Keep Moxie billing separate

This page controls how your clients pay your invoices. Your own Moxie subscription and workspace plan are managed separately under Settings → Billing.

Offer the provider on an invoice

After the provider is ready, follow Accept online payments to understand invoice-level payment controls and what clients see.
