Manage legacy Stripe subscriptions

Maintain backwards-compatible Stripe subscriptions while using Moxie recurring invoices for new billing.

Written by Geoff Mina

Legacy Stripe subscriptions remain available for workspaces that used the older subscription system. They are maintained for backwards compatibility, not as Moxie's recommended way to start new recurring billing.

Use recurring invoices for new billing

For a new recurring arrangement, create a Moxie recurring invoice schedule. It keeps the schedule, generated invoices, history, and pause controls in Moxie's current billing experience.

Moxie Stripe payment settings where legacy subscriptions are kept with the Stripe provider rather than in the main Money navigation

Legacy subscriptions stay inside Stripe settings so backwards-compatible records do not compete with Moxie's current recurring-invoice workflow.

Review existing subscriptions and requests

When Stripe is connected, open Legacy subscriptions. Search client subscriptions, filter by status, view subscription payments, copy an outstanding request's payment link, resend a request, or cancel a subscription or request when appropriate.

Maintain legacy products

The Products tab stores the Stripe products and recurring prices used by this older flow. A product can contain multiple active or inactive prices with a currency, amount, interval, and interval count.

Send a legacy request only when required

The backwards-compatible request form lets you choose a client, one or more products, quantities, an optional Stripe tax rate, recipients, and email content. Use it only when maintaining an existing legacy setup; choose recurring invoices for new customers and new arrangements.

Understand visibility

The legacy area appears only for a connected Stripe workspace. It is intentionally not shown as a first-class destination in the Money navigation.
