Integrate Moxie with QuickBooks Online

Connect QuickBooks Online and map the accounts Moxie uses for clients, invoices, payments, expenses, and taxes.

Written by Geoff Mina

Connect QuickBooks Online to synchronize Moxie clients, invoices, payments, and expenses with your accounting ledger.

Before you begin

QuickBooks Online is available on Pro and Teams plans; QuickBooks Self-Employed does not provide the required API access. Use Moxie as the primary invoicing system to avoid duplicate invoice numbering.

  1. Select QuickBooks Online and authorize the intended company.

  2. Choose whether invoice numbers must remain unique across both systems.

  3. Map income, payment-processing expense, undeposited-funds, and tax accounts.

  4. Save the QuickBooks settings.

Accounting integrations are grouped in Settings → Apps & integrations → Accounting.

QuickBooks tax codes are available in Moxie's Integrated tax mode. Manage code definitions in QuickBooks, then reopen invoice preferences to refresh them. Confirm financial mappings with the person responsible for your books.

For the complete current workflow, see Connect bank and accounting data.
