Communicate with a client or contact

Start email, calling, messaging, and meeting flows in the correct client context.

Written by Geoff Mina

Start communication from the client or contact context so Moxie can keep the recipient and related history connected.

Choose the right person

Open the client workspace for shared relationship context, or use the Contacts list when you already know the person. A client with multiple contacts lets you choose the intended recipient before starting a contact-dependent action.

Use available quick actions

  • Email opens the established Moxie email composer for the contact.

  • Call and Message open the Moxie softphone with the number in context. These actions require an active Communicator subscription and a usable phone number.

  • Book meeting starts the meeting flow for the contact.

A Moxie contact page with client context and communication history filters

The contact page keeps its client relationship and person-specific communication history together.

Review communication history

The contact page can combine related emails, text messages, calls, and tickets. Use the type filters to focus the timeline, and refresh it when you need the latest server state.

Why an action may not appear

Moxie hides actions that cannot succeed. Confirm that the contact has the required email address or phone number, that the relevant email or calendar connection is active, and that your workspace has access to the feature.

Set up the communication channels

Before using these shortcuts, connect and manage your inbox email and, if your plan includes Communicator, set up your Communicator phone.
