Use Money In & Out to understand received income, paid spending, and net cash over complete calendar months. The report is designed for operational insight and accounting export, not as an accrual-based profit-and-loss statement.
Choose the reporting window
Use the period selector to choose the set of complete calendar months you want to review. The visible period appears beneath the control so you can confirm exactly which months are included.
Read the at-a-glance metrics
Money in includes invoice payments and other income received.
Money out includes paid expenses.
Net is money in minus money out.
Net margin expresses net cash as a share of money in.
Switch between monthly and cumulative chart views to compare individual months or the running result across the period.
Client rows explain income, category rows explain spending, and the fixed total column summarizes the complete period.
Use monthly detail
The detail table groups income by client and spending by category. Scan across months to identify changes, then use the total column to understand the entire period.
Export for accounting work
Select Export accounting workbook to download a workbook for deeper review or handoff. Treat the export as a reporting aid and confirm your accounting requirements with the professional responsible for your books.
Troubleshooting
If a transaction is missing, confirm that an income or payment record has a received date and that an expense is marked paid within the selected window. A sent but unpaid invoice does not count as received cash.
