Manage your sales pipeline

Create, find, filter, group, and move opportunities through your sales process.

Written by Geoff Mina

The pipeline gives every possible engagement a clear stage, value, confidence level, and expected close date. Use it to decide what needs attention and keep promising work from disappearing into scattered notes.

Create an opportunity

  1. Select New opportunity.

  2. Add a descriptive name and connect a client or prospect when one is known.

  3. Choose the current stage, value, billing frequency, expected close date, and confidence.

  4. Select Create opportunity, then continue working in its right-side workspace.

The Moxie pipeline board with stage totals and a Website and Brand Refresh opportunity

Each stage shows both the number of opportunities and their total value.

Choose board or table view

  • Board is best for visually moving work through stages and seeing the shape of the pipeline.

  • Table is best for sorting, selecting multiple opportunities, grouping, and comparing fields.

Your view and visible-field choices are saved for your account. In table view, group by stage, open/won/lost status, client, confidence, close month, billing frequency, or lead source.

Find the right opportunities

Search by opportunity or related context, then filter by archive state, stage, client, or confidence. Select a stage summary at the top to use that stage as a quick filter. Use Fields to control the details shown on both cards and table rows.

Use bulk actions carefully

In table view, select several opportunities to move them to a stage, archive them, export them to CSV, or delete them. Deletion is permanent and also removes the opportunity's notes, to-dos, and activity links.
