Work inside an opportunity

Maintain deal context, activity, automations, notes, lead information, and follow-up work.

Written by Geoff Mina

Open an opportunity to keep the commercial context and next steps together without leaving the pipeline. Changes save from the right-side workspace while the surrounding board or table remains visible.

Maintain the overview

Use Overview for the connected client, stage, confidence, value, billing frequency, expected close date, description, and to-dos. Add a useful description of the need and use dated to-dos for the next concrete action.

An opportunity open in the Moxie right-side workspace with overview fields and to-dos

The opportunity workspace keeps details editable while preserving the pipeline context behind it.

Use the supporting tabs

  • Activity provides a history of meaningful changes and connected events.

  • Automations shows workflow activity and rules associated with the opportunity.

  • Notes preserves private sales context that should not be client-facing.

  • Lead info captures lead-source and other qualification details.

Move the opportunity forward

Change the stage as the sales conversation progresses. A won stage records the result and can promote a prospect to a client; lost and on-hold stages remove the deal from the active forecast. Stage changes may also add default to-dos configured for your workspace.

Keep value and timing realistic

The forecast depends on opportunity value, expected close date, and stage confidence. Update those fields as the deal changes rather than leaving the original estimate in place.
